Prices & Rates
Different events require different prices. Although it might be easy to see a flat rate or an hourly wage, it is not as simple as that. Many factors come into play when pricing an event i.e. the date, time, and location of the event, the number of people planning to attend, the amount of hours agreed upon, etc... Weddings are definitely more costly than most events, however, every event is unique and requires a specific quote. That being said, I've compiled some average prices for various events.
Weddings
Weddings can run anywhere between $150 to $500 per hour. Weddings usually require a substantial amount of prep time including but not limited to: meeting with the client at least twice to finalize any and all details, scouting the location of the event and making note of how and where to setup, coordinating with the wedding venue and all other wedding vendors for quality assurance, customizing timelines and playlists for the wedding, making all announcements including the grand entrance, toasts, formal dances, etc... Not to mention travel time, setup time, and equipment maintenance.
Corporate Events
Corporate events can run anywhere between $100 to $300 per hour. While not as complicated as a wedding, corporate events usually require an extensive and punctual timeline that sometimes feature key-note speakers, comraderie building excercises, raffles, sound effects, etc... As with all events, the DJ will prepare a customized timeline and playlist, as well as meet with the client in order to gauge exactly what they are looking for and expect.
Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, School Dances, etc...
These types of events can range anywhere from $75 to $200 per hour. Typically, these events are more casual than corporate events or weddings, however, we are not casual about our customer service. We put the same amount of dedication and preparation into any event we are a part of. Usually these events require a minimal amount of announcements and timelines, and normally, a customized playlist is not needed. Of course, we will always provide a custom playlist at the request of the client, but normally these events do not require one.
